No. 10 (2020): Science, Power, and Gender

The tenth issue of Freedom of Thoughts Journal deals with the role of women in higher education and science production in Iran and its impact on the relationship between power in sexual and gender relations within Iranian society. The importance of raising this issue in the context of Iranian society goes back more than anything to the particular circumstances of this country and the presence of a theocratic government that restricts women's social activities and, at the same time, the significant progress of women in higher education and scientific research. In some sociological theories related to the gender balance of power in society and its developments in recent decades, the relationship between genders with the realm of knowledge and scientific production has been considered.
