Review Policy and Process
Submitted articles will be reviewed by the Editorial review method.
The method of this review in the article submission stage is as follows:
After submitting the article, The editorial or secretary appointed for the initial evaluation of articles will make the initial decision about the article. There are three types of decisions:
- The article will be rejected, and the author will be notified.
- The article will be approved and sent for review.
- The article will be referred to the production body with the editor in chief's approval and without passing through reviewing steps.
Important qualities and characteristics
The Editorial Board pays close attention to the following qualities when deciding on an article:
- Proper and complete observance of writing principles and grammar provided in the authors' guidelines of the journal
- Critical thinking and intellectual independence of the author
- The importance of the article's subject, both from a scientific and a social perspective, and the role and contribution it has in the knowledge of its particular subject.
- Eloquence, writing strength of the article, and the accuracy of the arguments and issues raised.
- Existence of a comprehensive data set with accurate validation and completely scientific insight (in the case of original research articles with quantitative methodologies).
- The significant impact of the issues raised in the discourse related to the subject of the article
- Methodological accuracy and sufficient reference. In other words, strong support of arguments with the valid and preferably first-hand research literature.
- The connection and link of the article with the background and history of the subject that it raises.
- Coherence and consistency of the content and scientific language of the article.
Steps after accepting the article
If it gets initial approval, the paper will be sent to one or more editors for review.
At this stage, the author may receive advice or conditions from editors to modify, add, or reduce the article's content.
After all the corrections, the article will enter the copyediting process. The copyeditor will make possible final corrections to the article based on the journal authors' guidelines.
The finalized work will be sent to the production unit. After scheduling, the author will be informed about the status of the article and the date of its publication.
Articles published online do not necessarily appear in the print edition of the Iran Academia Journal. The articles published in the online journal are selected for print by the Editorial Board based on publishing policies.
