Science, Power, and Gender
No. 10 (2020)The tenth issue of Freedom of Thoughts Journal deals with the role of women in higher education and science production in Iran and its impact on the relationship between power in sexual and gender relations within Iranian society. The importance of raising this issue in the context of Iranian society goes back more than anything to the particular circumstances of this country and the presence of a theocratic government that restricts women's social activities and, at the same time, the significant progress of women in higher education and scientific research. In some sociological theories related to the gender balance of power in society and its developments in recent decades, the relationship between genders with the realm of knowledge and scientific production has been considered.

State and Society
No. 9 (2020)The authors of this issue have answered the following questions:
Is society the basis of change or the state?
Evil always goes back to the government, not to society?
Basically, what is the relationship between the government and society in contemporary Iran? What are the characteristics of the post-revolutionary period, and how was it before? -
Nationality and National Identity
No. 8 (2019)The issue of Iranian identity and its meaning in the historical experience of Iran in the years after 1978 has become one of the most controversial issues in the academic world and the public arena in Iran. The formation and presence of a theocratic government and its reliance on religious identity is a kind of rupture compared to 1978. Profound developments within Iran and the region have caused identity debates to be repeated periodically like fire under ashes. What has changed in recent decades compared to the past is the flourishing of historical research on Iran on the Constitutional Revolution, the formation of Iranian nationalism, and the background to the debate over collective identity in Iran. This rich literature sheds light on the dark corners of contemporary Iranian history and raises new debates and theories about collective identity.

No. 6 (2018)Approved by the editorial board of the association (Freedom of Thought), the sixth issue is on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the Reformation in Iran. Naturally, we pay special attention to Islam and the world of Islam and Iran.
Suggested topics in calling this issue include:
- The concept of forgiveness and grace in Protestant and Islamic perspectives

- Hegel's interpretation of Protestantism
- Max Weber's theory of Protestant ethics and capitalism
- Islamic Protestantism (in the world and Iran)
- History of the evolution of Protestant theology
- Are there any similarities between Luther and Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab?
- Mediation in Protestantism and Islam (Suicide and Individuality)
- Reformist currents and their prominent figures in the Islamic world
- A study of the views of religious reformers in Iran today in the field of theology. What is the difference between religious reformers and reformists and the totalitarian current and the dominant view of the religious spheres in this area? Are there any similarities with Christian examples?

On the occasion of the centenary of the October Revolution
No. 5 (2017)The particular topic of this issue is dedicated to the "100th anniversary of the October Revolution".
- Neither this publication nor any other publication can address the issues related to such a major historical event and its consequences in one issue.
- In addition to the research and technical articles published in this issue, we have tried in two areas; one is the reflection and impact of the discourse of Marxism and the Iranian communist current on the religious currents of Iran (currents and thinkers such as "God-fearing socialists," "People's Mojahedin" Ali Shariati, Habibollah Peyman, and even some religious clerics). The contribution of this discourse in the necessity of a "scientific" study of phenomena in Iran (without wanting to judge its meaning here); And the study of the peaceful transfer of power in the Soviet Union and other countries of the former socialist camp (except for the particular situation of Romania, of course) and its importance as a historical experience that can be instructive for us today. However, since the publication of articles in these two areas was delayed, we inevitably gave up on them and hope that this will be possible at another time.
