About the Journal

About the Association for Freedom of Thought:

The Association for Freedom of Thought is an independent, non-political, and non-ideological body that pursues the following goals:

  • Upholding the principles of freedom of thought, speech, religious and non-religious beliefs, and association;
  • Promoting the status of the humanities and social sciences in Iran;
  • Facilitating dialogues and public debates on critical social and political issues among Iranian intellectuals;
  • Promoting dialogues between Iranian intellectuals and their counterparts around the world—particularly with those in other countries in the Middle East and Central Asia.

Membership in the Association is open to all students and scholars in the various fields of the humanities and social sciences who share its goals.

The Online Version

Freedom of Thoughts Journal (FTJ) is an open-access journal. The online version of the Journal and its articles are available on the Journal's official website, accessible at https://journals.iranacademia.com/FTJ in Persian and English.  The Journal is electronically distributed free of charge.

The Printed Edition Subscription

For readers, authors, libraries, and other institutions

You can indefinitely subscribe to the journal's print edition and have it delivered to your address upon publication. You can cancel your subscription at any time. Each printed edition of the Journal costs 15 euros, and the postage costs 7 euros. Therefore, you will pay 22 Euros every six months by subscribing to each Journal.
